Feeding forty people on a floor is a different problem from feeding a conference room of eight, and most of the difference is packaging and timing rather than food.
A tray is right when everyone breaks together and there is a table to put it on. A shift rarely has either: people come off the floor in waves, they eat where they are, and a tray that opened at eleven is not appetising at half past one.
Individually boxed lunches solve all of it. Each box is packed and labelled per person, veg or non-veg marked on the lid, and stacked so the last box out is as good as the first. Ours are $17.99 a head. Nobody serves, nobody queues twice, and the count on the invoice is the count that ate.
Tell us the hour it has to be on the table, not the hour you would like it to leave our kitchen. We deliver into the lunch window, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and early for a shift that eats before the floor opens — a 6:00 am drop is a normal ask, not a favour.
Forty-eight hours' notice for a large order lets us cook it properly. A small tray or a short run of boxes can often be done same-day; call and ask rather than assuming not.
A mixed workforce on this corridor is heavily vegetarian, and "we will put a salad aside" is not catering. Our vegetarian selection is as wide as the rest of the menu — paneer and vegetable gravies, dal, biryani, chaat, Indo-Chinese — and every tray and box is marked so nobody has to ask what is in it.
Heat is set to the room. Say if half the team is new to Indian food and we build a menu that starts gently and still tastes like something. Nut allergies and vegan counts are cooked around, not substituted at the last minute.
We invoice companies. Put your purchase order number on the order and it appears on the invoice; our W-9 is on file and goes out the same day you ask for it. Nobody has to expense a caterer on a personal card.
Recurring lunches are kept on file with the menu rotated, so a weekly team lunch does not become the same plate every fortnight.
We are at 1275 South River Road in Cranbury, where Route 130 meets the Turnpike interchange. That puts the distribution parks around Exit 8A, and the offices in Cranbury, Dayton, South Brunswick, Monroe Township, Jamesburg, Hightstown and Robbinsville, inside a short drive rather than a logistics exercise.
