A wedding is not one meal. It is a sequence of them, each with a different mood and a different guest count, and the catering has to be planned backwards from the schedule.
Plan the events, then the food
Mehndi and sangeet want food guests can eat standing with a drink in hand: chaat, kebabs off a live tandoor, Indo-Chinese bites, and something sweet late. The reception wants a full sit-down spine — a broad vegetarian selection, two meat entrées, one biryani, breads, rice and two desserts. A morning ceremony wants lighter, largely vegetarian food that holds for a long service window.
Tell us the running order first. Quantities follow from it, and so does the number of counters and staff.
Counting for a hundred and up
Our trays serve roughly 10–12 (Small), 20–25 (Medium) and 30–35 (Large) guests. For a seated dinner, plan per 25 guests: one appetizer tray, two entrée trays, one biryani or rice tray, breads, and desserts per head. Appetizer trays start at $85, vegetarian entrées at $90, chicken at $95, and goat or lamb biryani at $120 for the small size; naan and individual sweets are priced per piece.
For 150 guests that arithmetic lands around six appetizer trays, twelve entrée trays, six biryani trays and bread to match — we will run the real numbers with you rather than guessing on a form. Full pricing sits on the catering page.
Counters, timing and lead time
Live tandoor, chaat, Indo-Chinese and dessert counters turn a buffet into an event and solve the freshness problem for fried food. They need space and power, so tell us the venue early.
Book as far ahead as you can for weddings — weeks, not days — and at minimum 48 hours for any large tray order. Call (732) 466-1345 and we will build the menu with you. Smaller celebration? Our dining room hosts private parties up to a full room.
