Catering questions are always the same three: how much food, what kind, and how far ahead. Here is how we answer them, with the numbers we actually use.
Our trays come in three sizes: Small serves roughly 10–12 guests, Medium 20–25, Large 30–35. For a full dinner, plan one appetizer tray, two entrée trays, one biryani or rice tray and bread for every 20–25 guests, then desserts per head. A lunch is lighter — skip one entrée and add rice.
Vegetarian appetizer trays start at $85, vegetarian entrées at $90, chicken entrées at $95, and biryanis from $85 depending on protein; goat and lamb sit at the top of the range. Gulab jamun, rasmalai and naan are priced per piece, which keeps the count honest for large parties. Full per-tray pricing lives on the catering page.
Dishes hold differently in a chafing dish than on a plate. Gravies — butter chicken, tikka masala, rogan josh, Dal Makhni, paneer — travel beautifully and keep improving for the first hour. Biryani is sealed and baked, so it arrives intact. Fried appetizers are best when guests eat within the first half hour, so we pack them last and label them first.
For weddings, poojas and graduations we usually pair a broad vegetarian spine with two meat entrées, one biryani, breads and two desserts — the combination that leaves the fewest guests hunting for something to eat.
When the event has room for theatre, our live counters come to you: tandoor turning out kebabs and breads on-site, a chaat counter making papdi chaat and bhel to order, Indo-Chinese woks, and warm gulab jamun and halwa finished in front of your guests.
We cater across Central New Jersey — Cranbury, Monroe Township, South Brunswick, Jamesburg, Plainsboro, East and West Windsor, Princeton, and out to Manalapan and Freehold. Give us at least 48 hours for a large order and as much notice as you can for weddings; call (732) 466-1345 and we will help you count heads. Prefer to host here? Our dining room takes private parties.
