Why a partner at all

Tamarind & Co. caters happily up to the size a restaurant kitchen can carry alongside a full dining room — trays for a house party, a school function, an office lunch, a pooja. Past that point an event needs things a restaurant does not keep on hand: floor staff, captains, chafing and equipment, a plan for setup and cleanup, and someone whose entire job that night is your event rather than the sixty covers in the room.

Rather than stretch and hope, we run those events with ChefWaala, a catering business built for exactly that. The food is cooked to the same standard; the difference is the operation around it.

What the partnership gives you

ChefWaala staffs events from 25 to 2,500 guests, with a named captain running the floor on anything over a hundred — one person with a phone number, not a call centre. Setup, topping up, clearing and cleanup are theirs, which is the difference between hosting your own event and working it.

They quote fast and in writing: an itemised price within 60 minutes, 9am to 9pm, seven days. For weddings, sangeets, poojas and corporate events across New Jersey that speed is usually the reason people stop shopping around.
