Pooja catering, done properly

Pooja catering has rules before it has recipes. Get those right and the rest of the menu is straightforward.

What we can cook to

Pure vegetarian menus are standard for us, and on request we cook without onion and garlic — the kitchen keeps separate preparation for these orders rather than adapting a dish at the last minute. Jain requirements (no root vegetables) can be accommodated with notice, as can sattvic preferences for a particular ceremony.

Tell us the observance, not just the head count. Whether the food is served as prasad, whether guests eat seated in shifts, and whether the puja runs long all change what we send.

A menu that works for a house full of guests

A dependable spine: one fried appetizer, two vegetarian entrées (one paneer, one dal or vegetable), vegetable biryani or jeera rice, puri or naan, and two sweets — gulab jamun and a halwa are the safest crowd-pleasers, priced per piece so the count stays exact.

Trays serve roughly 10–12, 20–25 and 30–35 guests; vegetarian appetizers start at $85 and entrées at $90, with paneer entrées $10 more. See the full tray pricing and the vegetarian menu guide.
